Energy

New Capacity

Resilient Design is engaged in facilitating the development of renewable energy projects, including:

  • renewable methane
  • small scale hydro
  • thermal solar heating

We connect energy users with funding and engineering expertise to speed up the process of transition.

Conservation

In North America we waste enormous amounts of energy. As we transition to more renewable sources of energy, we cannot afford this luxury. Therefor an important element of any sustainability strategy is reducing our consumption. 30% of energy consumption in Canada is in building heating, lighting and appliances. Proven technology exists to drastically reduce all of these draws.

Building Envelope and Air Circulation

With a combination of better insulation, including the reduction of thermal bridges and heat recovery ventilation, the heating bill of a residence or commercial building can be reduced 90%.

Lighting

Low voltage DC wiring combined with LED lights significantly reduces energy consumption, even compared to 120V florescent lights. This system is safer and lower cost than AC wiring.
